THE NEW COUNTRY 95.3 FM ANNOUNCES
MARSHALL DANE
WINNER OF CANADA DAY JAM
'BIG BREAK' COMPETITION
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Friday, June 19, 2009 - TORONTO
Marshall Dane has been chosen by The New Country 95.3 FM as the winner of the national Canada Day Jam "Big Break Competition". Out of over 60 submissions from across the country, six finalists were selected to perform their original music last night to an excited crowd at The Stampede Ranch in Guelph, ON. Marshall's charismatic appeal and phenomenal stage show stood out amongst a very talented pool of musicians and won the judges vote as the next big thing to hit country music.
Marshall performed a dynamic collection of his original songs, many of which are co-written by country songwriting powerhouses, including the powerful first single, "This Rain" (co-written with Willie Mack), and "Wasn't It Something?" (co-written with Paul Brandt). Listen to "This Rain" and other samples of Marshall's music at http://marshalldane.com/Mp3sandvideos.html
Tune in to the The New Country 95.3 FM on Monday, June 22 at 8:10 where Marshall will be performing LIVE acoustically in the studio and talking with the morning show crew.
As the winner of the Big Break competition, Marshall will perform in the opening slot at this year's 95.3 FM Canada Day Jam on July 1st at Woodbine Park alongside Emerson Drive, Jason Blaine, and more. Always in high demand, later that same day Marshall will be performing to an estimated 50,000+ crowd at Mississauga City Hall Canada Day Celebration opening for Kreesha Turner and Sloan.
